I did not hear any derisive comments earlier in the year by the Blues when they had the tougher schedule while the Predators and others played the "cupcake" teams. If the Blues finish ahead of the Predators, as I believe they will, it is because they deserved it by winning more games over the entire 82 game schedule.

Maybe I'm just a homer, but if that isn't a sucker punch what is? Yes, Jarnkrok hit that guy from behind. Usually, you face wash the guy then drop the gloves, but Haley goes straight punch to the mouth. Should be interesting how the league views it.

So does that mean the Blues already played those tough games in their schedule and the Preds ate played the soft teams in their schedule? So jow the Blues play the soft teams only at the end of the year when many of those players are trying to audtion for NHL jobs...hmmm..... The Preds managed their record absorbing all those soft teams so now that the Blues are it is all benefit to them not the Preds. But yet they still play the same teams the same number of games. Your like the kid that sucked all the juice out of his icee and is complaining because his little brother kept mixing his icee and still has juice and not just ice left.

It doesn't matter where the Blues finish they are gone in the first round probably in 6 or less.

Kinda reminds me of Tootoo hitting Robidas.

No wait, that was a clean hit but Robidas was coming fast and Toots popped him.

And he was also slashed by Mike Primodano.

He got suspended a few games, but since this is clearly different and Jarnkrok isn't a "protected player" that story has already ended.

Never really gave too much thought to the cupcake thing in the pros. Schedule is made before the season starts obviously. Play the game scheduled, secure the two points, be thankful for the win.
